The Pro League is the main division of Belgian football, played by 16 clubs in an innovative format that includes a play-offs phase at the end of the regular season. History

Fundada em 1895, a liga belga é uma das mais antigas da Europa continental. O Anderlecht, de Bruxelas, foi historicamente o clube mais bem-sucedido, com vasta tradição europeia nas décadas de 1970 e 1980.
