A Taça de Portugal Feminina foi criada em 2013, posteriormente às reformas estruturais do futebol feminino português. Desde então, tornou-se o principal torneio de cup português para mulheres, reunindo os melhores clubes de futebol feminino do país. Competição que serve tanto como complemento à liga regular quanto como oportunidade para clubes menores ganharem visibilidade.
