Champions Trophy of the Professional Football League

The Champions Trophy is an Argentine competition played in a single match that brings together the champions of the Professional League and the League Cup from the same season, crowning the greatest Argentine football champion of the year.

History

Criado em 2022 pela Liga Profesional de Fútbol Argentino, o torneio busca unificar em uma única partida os títulos conquistados ao longo da temporada, opondo o campeão do returno da Liga Profesional ao campeão da Copa de la Liga. Em 2023, o River Plate venceu o título ao golear por 2 a 0 no Estádio Único de Santiago del Estero. Já em 2024, na quarta edição, o Estudiantes de La Plata derrotou o Vélez Sarsfield por 3 a 0. Em 2025, o Estudiantes de La Plata venceu o Platense por 2 a 1 e conquistou o bicampeonato da competição, igualando River Plate e Racing Club como os maiores vencedores do torneio, com duas conquistas cada.
