Alexis Sánchez
Alexis Sánchez is the greatest player in Chilean football history and one of the most complete strikers of his generation. Born in Tocopilla, a port city in northern Chile, he showed exceptional talent from childhood, being discovered by Cobreloa before transferring to Europe at a young age. His stint at Barcelona, between 2011 and 2014, was marked by achievements and international recognition. However, it was at Arsenal between 2014 and 2018 that Sánchez lived his best individual phase, enchanting English fans with dribbling, grit and an extraordinary ability to score goals in decisive moments. After a disappointing spell at Manchester United, the Chilean was reborn professionally at Internazionale Milan, where he won the Italian Scudetto in 2020-21 and once again demonstrated his level of excellence. With the Chilean national team, Sánchez wrote his greatest history by winning two consecutive Copa Americas, in 2015 and 2016, being the main protagonist of the greatest victories in Chilean football. He is the greatest goalscorer in the history of Chile's national team, having scored over 70 goals wearing the red shirt.
