Amancio Amaro
Amancio Amaro was one of the greatest Spanish strikers of the twentieth century, a symbol of Real Madrid in the 1960s and 1970s, recognized for his speed, dribbling ability and goalscoring instinct. Discovered by Deportivo La Coruña, he transferred to Real Madrid in 1962, where he became a key piece of the team that succeeded the generation of Alfredo Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas, helping the club maintain its national and European hegemony. Wearing the white shirt, he won multiple Spanish Championship titles and the European Cup in 1966, being one of the protagonists of that continental achievement. After retiring from playing, he became an executive and honorary captain of Real Madrid, remembered as one of the great historical legends of the club until his death in 2023.
