Ariel Ortega
Ariel Arnaldo Ortega, known as 'El Burrito', was one of the most talented and skillful players in Argentina during the 1990s, being compared by many to a young Maradona for his ball control and dribbling. He won the 1996 Copa América with the Argentine national team and was a standout in World Cups, although he never fully translated his individual talent into collective achievements. He played for major European clubs such as Valencia and Parma, but it was at River Plate where he built his greatest identification outside the national team. His career was marked by moments of brilliance interspersed with personal controversies.
