Bebeto de Freitas

Bebeto de Freitas

Bebeto was one of the greatest strikers in Brazilian football during the 1980s and 1990s, known for his precise finishing and for the attacking duo he formed with Romário in the Brazilian National Team, champions of the 1994 World Cup. He began his career at Flamengo, where he became a top scorer and idol, before transferring to Spanish football, playing for Deportivo La Coruña, a club where he also stood out as one of the best strikers in the Spanish Championship at that time. With the Brazilian National Team, Bebeto scored the iconic goal celebrated by 'rocking the baby' at the 1994 World Cup, in honor of the birth of his son, a celebration that became one of the most emblematic images in World Cup history.
