Augusto Miller is considered the introducer of football to Brazil, bringing the ball and the rules of the sport from England to the country at the end of the 19th century. Son of a Scottish engineer, he founded the first teams and taught Brazilians the rules of the game, being a fundamental historical figure for the development of football in the country.
