Bryan Robson was born in Chester-le-Street, in England, on January 11, 1957. A complete midfielder, he became known as Captain Marvel for his leadership, physical commitment and attacking prowess. He turned professional at West Bromwich Albion and in 1981 was signed by Manchester United, where he remained until 1994. He was the club captain during a long era and won three FA Cups, one European Cup Winners' Cup and the first two Premier League titles. For the English national team, he played 90 matches and scored 26 goals, serving as captain in 65 matches. At the 1982 World Cup, he scored against France at 27 seconds, a goal that was the fastest in the tournament's history at that time.
