Canhoteiro
Canhoteiro was one of the greatest dribblers in Brazilian football history, revealed by São Paulo Futebol Clube in the 1950s. A left winger with short dribbling skills and speed, he mesmerized fans at Morumbi and the old Pacaembu stadium, earning comparisons to stars like Garrincha for his exceptional individual skill. Despite his recognized talent, he had few opportunities with the Brazilian National Team, remaining in the shadow of other wingers in the competition for spots in the 1954 and 1958 World Cup squads. His career was marked by ups and downs off the field, and he died in 1998, remembered to this day as one of São Paulo FC's historical idols.
