Carles Puyol

Carles Puyol is considered one of the greatest defenders in football history and the most emblematic captain of Barcelona. Born in La Pobla de Segur, Catalonia, he became famous for his fighting spirit, leadership and absolute commitment on the pitch. World champion with Spain in 2010, his historic header in the semifinal against Germany was instrumental for the title. He spent his entire professional career at Barcelona, winning three Champions League titles and six La Liga titles.
