Carlos Henrique Casimiro, known as Casemiro, was born in São José dos Campos on February 23, 1992, and became one of the greatest defensive midfielders in recent Brazilian football history. Revealed by São Paulo, he made his professional debut in 2010 and quickly caught the attention of European clubs. Signed by Real Madrid in 2013, he consolidated himself after a loan to Porto and became a key piece of the Merengues' midfield alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić, forming one of the most victorious trios of the modern era. For the Spanish club, he won five UEFA Champions League titles. In 2022, he transferred to Manchester United, where he won the League Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024. For the Brazilian National Team, he was champion of the 2019 Copa América and played in the World Cups of 2018 and 2022, even serving as team captain.
