Azpilicueta

César Azpilicueta was born in Pamplona on August 28, 1989, and was trained in Osasuna's youth categories. A fullback and center-back of great consistency, he became known for his tactical discipline and ability to play in various defensive positions. He played for Olympique de Marseille between 2010 and 2012, where he won the French League Cup, and transferred to Chelsea in 2012. In London he experienced the most successful phase of his career, became captain and lifted the Champions League trophy in the 2020-21 season. At Chelsea he won two Premier League titles (2014-15 and 2016-17), the English League Cup 2014-15, the FA Cup 2017-18, the Europa League in 2012-13 and 2018-19, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup. In 2023 he agreed to join Atlético Madrid. For the Spanish national team he played 29 matches without scoring any goals, and was part of the 2014 World Cup squad.
