Claudio Marchisio

Claudio Marchisio

Claudio Marchisio, nicknamed 'Il Principino' (the little prince), was one of Juventus's greatest idols in the 2010s, developed through the club's youth academy and a key player in the cycle of nine consecutive Italian Championship titles. With great ability to support the attack and exceptional game vision, Marchisio was a starter in Champions League finals and was part of the Italian team that finished as runner-up at Euro 2012, as well as competing in the 2014 World Cup. Recurring physical problems, including a serious knee injury, shortened his career at its peak, but his legacy as a symbol of loyalty to a single great club remains strong among Juventus fans.
