Deco

Deco

Deco, born in Brazil and naturalized Portuguese, was one of the best midfielders of his generation, recognized for tactical intelligence, impeccable technique and ability to create plays from nothing in tight spaces. He was a key player in Porto's Champions League conquest in 2004, under José Mourinho's command, and repeated the feat with Barcelona in 2006, becoming the only player to win the Champions with different clubs in consecutive years. For the Portuguese national team, he was one of the leaders of the generation that reached the semi-final of the 2006 World Cup and runner-up at Euro 2004.
