Nelson de Jesus Silva, widely known as Dida, is considered one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of Brazilian football. Born in Irará, in the state of Bahia, in 1973, Dida built a career that took him from the interior of Bahia to the greatest arenas of European football, becoming an absolute reference in his position. His tenure at AC Milan, from 2000 to 2010, established him as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. With the Italian club, Dida won two editions of the UEFA Champions League, in 2003 and 2007, in addition to multiple Italian titles, playing alongside legends such as Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, and Andrea Pirlo. Before Milan, Dida lived historic moments with Corinthians, being one of the protagonists in the conquest of the unprecedented FIFA Club World Cup in 2000, when the São Paulo team surprised the world by defeating Vasco da Gama in the final and becoming world champions. For the Brazilian National Team, he accumulated more than ninety matches and played in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where Brazil reached the quarterfinals.
