Diego Ribeiro dos Santos, simply known as Diego, is one of the most creative and technical midfielders that Brazilian football has produced in the first half of the 21st century. With a privileged game vision, ability to dribble in tight spaces and powerful shot, the player enchanted fans in Brazil and Europe throughout more than two decades of his career. In Europe, Diego stood out especially at Werder Bremen, where he was part of one of the most offensive teams in German football in the late 2000s.
