Dominik Szoboszlai

Dominik Szoboszlai was born in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, on October 25, 2000. He started his professional career at FC Liefering, Red Bull Salzburg's B team, making his debut for the main club in January 2018 and establishing himself as a regular starter from the 2018-19 season. In January 2021, he transferred to RB Leipzig for approximately 20 million euros, becoming the most expensive Hungarian footballer in history at that time. In 2023, he was signed by Liverpool, the club through which he won the Premier League title in the 2024-25 season, a season in which he also set the record for direct free-kick goals in a single campaign for the club. Captain of the Hungarian National Team, Szoboszlai is one of the main names in football in his country in the current generation, although Hungary failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup after elimination in the European qualifiers.
