Emmanuel Petit

Emmanuel Petit was a French midfielder known for his versatility, physical presence, and ability to organize the game. He started his career at Monaco, where he remained for nearly a decade before transferring to English football. At Arsenal, he formed a highly respected midfield partnership alongside Patrick Vieira, helping the club achieve the historic double of Premier League and FA Cup in the 1997-98 season. He later had spells at Barcelona and Chelsea before retiring from professional football. Through the French national team, Petit is remembered for his goal in the 1998 World Cup final, scoring the third goal in the 3-0 victory over Brazil, an unprecedented title for the host nation. He was also a champion of Euro 2000, completing two memorable years for the French generation of that era.
