Enzo Scifo
Son of Sicilian immigrants born in La Louvière, Belgium, Enzo Scifo was the great Belgian midfielder of the 1980s and 1990s. Revealed by Anderlecht, he made his debut in the national team while still young and was pointed out as one of the greatest European talents of his generation. Wearing Belgium's shirt, he played in four World Cups — 1986, 1990, 1994 and 1998 — and took part in the country's best campaign at that time, fourth place in Mexico, in 1986. In club football he played in Italy and France, passing through Internazionale, Bordeaux, Auxerre, Torino and Monaco, before returning to Anderlecht at the end of his career. After retiring, he continued in the profession as a coach in Belgium.
