Eric Gerets

Eric Gerets was one of Europe's best right-backs in the 1980s, having excelled at Standard Liège, PSV Eindhoven and Club Brugge. Captain of the Belgian national team for many years, he reached the semi-finals of the 1986 World Cup, the country's best result. After his playing career, he became a successful coach in several countries.
