Éverton Cebolinha

Éverton Soares, affectionately nicknamed 'Cebolinha' due to his resemblance to the character from Monica's Gang created by Mauricio de Sousa, is one of the most explosive strikers of his generation in Brazilian football. Born in Vacaria, Rio Grande do Sul, he made a name for himself through Grêmio before conquering both the European and domestic markets. His 2019 season was historic in every sense. Beyond being instrumental in Grêmio's Copa Libertadores triumph in 2017, he shone brilliantly in the Copa América that year, held in Brazil, being named the tournament's best player while leading the Brazilian national team to the continental title. This achievement opened Benfica's doors to him in Portugal. After three seasons in Europe, where he won the Portuguese league title, he returned to Brazil to play for Flamengo, continuing to showcase his explosiveness and technical ability on the domestic stage. Éverton is recognized for his close ball control, explosive acceleration, precise finishing and his ability to decide matches in the most difficult moments.
