Franco Armani
Franco Armani is an Argentine goalkeeper who established himself at River Plate after a standout stint at Atlético Nacional in Colombia. Known for his security and reflexes, he became one of the most respected goalkeepers in South America in the 2010s and 2020s. Developed in clubs from the interior of Argentina, Armani gained international projection defending Atlético Nacional, where he won important titles including the Copa Libertadores. In 2017 he was signed by River Plate, where he became the absolute starter and a fundamental piece in the club's achievements. Called up for the Argentine national team, Armani was part of the squad that won Copa América 2021 and the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, acting as a backup to Emiliano Martínez, but being an important piece in the world champion group.
