Gaizka Mendieta

Gaizka Mendieta was one of the best Spanish midfielders of the late 1990s, being a Ballon d'Or finalist in 2000. He led Valencia to two consecutive UEFA Champions League finals. His arrival at Barcelona was disappointing, but his legacy at Valencia remains as one of the brightest in the club's history.
