Gary Mackay

Gary Mackay is famous for scoring the goal that qualified the Republic of Ireland for Euro 1988, playing for Scotland against Bulgaria. He spent most of his career at Heart of Midlothian, becoming one of the club's greatest idols. His only goal for the Scottish national team entered football history for its international repercussion.
