Geyse da Silva Ferreira was born in Maragogi, Alagoas, on March 27, 1998, and grew up in the village of São Bento, where she started playing football on beaches and streets before joining school futsal. She was discovered playing for União Desportiva and signed by Corinthians in 2016. After a season in Brazil, she moved to Spanish football, playing for Madrid CFF. In 2018, she signed with the newly formed Benfica women's team, where she had an outstanding start to the season, scoring 16 goals in four matches, including six goals in a single game against Almeirim. She returned to Madrid CFF in January 2020. In June 2022, she was announced by Barcelona, the club where she played in the successful women's Champions League campaign that season, scoring five goals in ten matches. She also played for Manchester United in English football. In early 2026, she joined Club América of Mexico, with whom she won the Concacaf W Champions Cup, becoming the first female athlete in history to win the competition twice.
