Gigi Meroni

Gigi Meroni was one of the most eccentric and talented players in Italian football in the 1960s, nicknamed 'La Farfalla di Torino' (The Butterfly of Turin). An extremely skillful forward with a unique personality, he tragically died in 1967 hit by a car at the age of 24. He was considered the most brilliant player of his generation and could have been one of the greatest in the world.
