Grzegorz Lato was the top scorer at the 1974 World Cup with 7 goals, leading Poland to a surprising 3rd place finish in the tournament. Extremely fast and skillful, he was part of one of the best generations in the history of Polish football, alongside Kazimierz Deyna and Robert Gadocha.
