Hugo Souza

Hugo Souza is a Brazilian goalkeeper revealed in Flamengo's youth categories, known for his wingspan, reflexes and quality in playing with his feet. He made his professional debut for Flamengo in 2020 and was part of the red-and-black squad in years of many achievements for the club, alternating periods as starter and substitute. After a loan spell at Chaves, Portugal, he transferred to Corinthians in 2024, where he quickly became a starter and one of the team's highlights, gaining prominence in penalty shootouts and recovering ground in the national scene. His good form at Corinthians earned him call-ups to the Brazilian national team in 2024.
