Augustine Azuka Okocha, worldwide known as Jay-Jay Okocha, is considered one of the most skillful and creative players in the history of African football. Born on August 14, 1973, in Enugu, Nigeria, he enchanted generations with dribbles, feints and tricks that defied the logic of the sport. His breakthrough in Europe came through Eintracht Frankfurt, where spectacular goals and bewildering plays soon attracted the continent's attention. At Fenerbahçe in Turkey he confirmed his talent, before shining with even greater intensity at Paris Saint-Germain, where he accumulated unforgettable goals and became one of the most admired athletes in Ligue 1. At Bolton Wanderers, he was so dominant that English fans created the famous catchphrase 'Jay-Jay Okocha, so good they named him twice'. He was the captain and heart of the English team for four seasons, raising the technical level of the Premier League with performances that left opponents and fans astonished. With the Nigerian national team, he was a key player in the African Cup of Nations in 1994 and led the World Cup campaigns of 1994, 1998, and 2002.
