Jo
Jo emerged from Corinthians' youth categories and became one of Brazilian football's brightest prospects in the mid-2000s, playing a crucial role in winning the 2005 Brazilian Championship, when he finished the competition as the club's top scorer. After his success in Brazil, he was transferred to CSKA Moscow in Russia in 2008 for a record fee at the time for a Brazilian player. Also in 2008, he was loaned to Everton in the English Premier League, where he had a brief spell before returning to the Russian club. In 2012 he was signed by Manchester City, but had limited playing time at the English club, returning to Corinthians in 2013 on loan and then permanently. He finished his career also playing for Atlético Mineiro and Internacional, being remembered mainly for his prolific striker period at Corinthians.
