John Terry
John Terry was born in Barking, London, on December 7, 1980, and built one of the longest and most successful careers in Chelsea's history. A commanding center-back and natural leader, he made his first-team debut in 1998 and established himself as a regular starter in the early 2000s. He became Chelsea captain in 2004 and led the team to Premier League titles in 2004-05, 2005-06, 2009-10, 2014-15, and 2016-17. He also won five FA Cups, three League Cups, the 2011-12 UEFA Champions League, and the 2012-13 UEFA Europa League. In the 2004-05 season, he was awarded PFA Player of the Year. Terry also starred for the England national team: he made his debut in 2003, competed in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, and captained the side across multiple spells. He announced his retirement from international football in 2012, having earned 78 caps and scored 6 goals. He departed Chelsea in 2017 and had a spell with Aston Villa in the 2017-18 season, retiring as a player in 2018. His legacy remains deeply intertwined with the club's most memorable moments, including the 2008 Champions League final in Moscow and the triumphant 2012 European championship campaign.
