Juan Cuadrado

Juan Guillermo Cuadrado is one of the greatest Colombian football players of his generation, known for his explosive speed, dribbling and ability to play both as a winger and as a right-back. Born in Necoclí, Antioquia, on May 26, 1988, he built a remarkable career in Europe's biggest clubs. He arrived in European football through Udinese and then Fiorentina, where he stood out so much that he was signed by Chelsea in 2015. However, it was at Juventus, where he was loaned in 2015 and bought permanently in 2017, that he reached his best football, becoming a key player for the Italian club for eight seasons. For the Colombian national team, Cuadrado was a protagonist of the so-called Colombian 'golden generation', alongside James Rodríguez and Falcao García. At the 2014 World Cup, in Brazil, he was one of the highlights of the campaign that took Colombia to the quarter-finals for the first time in its history. After a spell at Inter Milan in 2023-24, he ended his European career. His versatility, refined technique and dedication made him one of the most respected players in South American football of his era.
