Jules Koundé

Born in Paris, Jules Koundé was developed in the youth categories of Girondins de Bordeaux, quickly establishing himself as one of the main prospects of French football due to his versatility between center-back and right-back. He transferred to Sevilla in 2019, where he became a regular starter and won the Europa League in 2020, catching the attention of major European clubs for his quality in ball distribution. In 2022, he was signed by Barcelona for a record fee for a French defender, where he began alternating between right-back and center-back, becoming an important piece in the Catalan club's reconstruction process. For the French National Team, he was runner-up in the 2022 World Cup, scoring his penalty in the final shootout against Argentina, and was included in the squad for Euro 2024.
