Jurriën Timber was born in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, on June 17, 2001, and came through Ajax's youth academy. A versatile defender, he plays as a center-back and right-back and stands out for his ball distribution. At Ajax, he was Dutch champion in 2020-21 and 2021-22 and won the Dutch Cup in 2020-21. In 2023, he transferred to Arsenal. On his debut for Arsenal in the Premier League, in August 2023, he suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury and missed virtually the entire 2023-24 season. He returned in 2024 and was part of the Dutch national team that reached the semifinal of Euro 2024.
