Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin De Bruyne is considered one of the greatest midfielders of his generation and one of the best passers in football history. Born in Drongen, Belgium, he made his breakthrough at Genk, where he won the Belgian championship in 2011, before a brief spell at Chelsea. It was in Germany that he exploded: loaned to Werder Bremen and later signed by Wolfsburg, he was named Bundesliga Player of the Year in 2015 after an impressive season with remarkable assist numbers. His performance led Manchester City to pay a record fee for his signing. At City, he became the brain of Pep Guardiola's team for a decade, winning six Premier League titles and the 2023 Champions League, in the club's first treble in history. He left the English club in 2025, after 422 games and 108 goals, heading to Napoli, Italy. For the Belgian national team, he was a key piece of the so-called golden generation, highlighting a third-place finish at the 2018 World Cup.
