Linda Caicedo

Linda Caicedo was born in Cali, Colombia, and is considered one of the greatest prospects in South American women's football. She started her career in the lower categories of América de Cali, where she drew attention for her speed, dribbling, and decision-making ability at a very young age. At 15 years old, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, treated through surgery and chemotherapy. Even during treatment, she maintained her training routine whenever possible, and overcoming the disease became a central part of her story both on and off the field. In 2022, she was one of the standout players for Colombia at the Copa América Femenina, helping the national team reach the final of the competition. In 2023, she transferred to Real Madrid Femenino, one of the biggest clubs in European women's football, becoming one of the most valued Colombian players in the market. At the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, she scored a notable goal in Colombia's victory over Germany, a result that helped the national team advance to the round of 16 and further elevated her name on the international stage.
