Luan

Luan

Luan Vieira is a Brazilian attacking midfielder who became one of the most skillful players in Brazilian football of his generation. Revealed and developed by Grêmio, he was a key player in the historic conquest of the Copa Libertadores in 2017, being elected the best player of the continental tournament that year. Born on March 27, 1993 in Presidente Prudente, in the interior of São Paulo, Luan arrived at Grêmio as a teenager and was polished by the gaucho club. With his irreverent playing style, marked by engaging dribbling, game vision and goal-scoring ability, he quickly became an idol of the tricolor fans. Called up for the Brazilian Olympic team, he actively participated in winning the gold medal at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016 — a historic title that Brazil had never conquered in the Olympics. After the 2017 Libertadores, he transferred to Corinthians in one of the largest negotiations in Brazilian football at the time. His trajectory at Corinthians did not meet expectations, but his legacy at Grêmio remains intact: Luan is remembered as the symbol of one of the most glorious periods of the gaucho club in the 21st century.
