Ludmila
Ludmila da Silva was born on December 1st, 1994, in Guarulhos, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, and overcame the difficulties of the periphery to become one of the main forwards in Brazilian women's football. Fast and with efficient finishing, she began her career at São José Esporte Clube before transferring to Europe. In August 2017, she became the first Brazilian signed by Atlético de Madrid, where she lived the most decisive phase of her career: four seasons wearing the Spanish club's shirt, including 15 goals in the 2020-21 season, helping the team win consecutive titles in Spain's First Division for women. She made her debut for the main Brazilian national team in 2017 and participated in the 2019 World Cup and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. A serious injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of her right knee, suffered in March 2023, kept her out of the World Cup that year, but Ludmila recovered in time to be part of the team that won the silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. After reinforcing Chicago Red Stars, where she drew attention by scoring the fastest hat-trick in NWSL history in August 2025, Ludmila signed with San Diego Wave in January 2026, continuing as one of the main offensive references in Brazilian women's football in the North American league.
