Luuk de Jong is a Dutch striker known for his aerial play and goal-scoring instinct, with notable spells at PSV Eindhoven, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Newcastle, Sevilla and Barcelona. Developed by De Graafschap and spotted by FC Twente, he became one of the most consistent centre-forwards in the Eredivisie and La Liga throughout more than a decade of his career, also being a frequent presence in the Dutch national team across different cycles. After a loan spell at Barcelona, he returned to PSV Eindhoven, where he continued as an offensive reference and won new national titles.
