Marquinhos is one of the best center-backs in the world of his generation and one of the most complete defenders ever produced by Brazilian football. Born on May 14, 1994, the player was discovered by Corinthians and quickly caught the attention of Roma, who signed him while still very young. At 19 years old, Paris Saint-Germain paid 31 million euros to sign the Brazilian center-back, making him at the time one of the most expensive defenders in history.
