Martín Zubimendi

Martín Zubimendi Ibáñez was born on February 2, 1999 in San Sebastián, in the Basque Country, and developed through Real Sociedad's youth academy, the club from his hometown. A midfielder with technical quality and game vision, he made his professional debut in 2019 and became the undisputed starter in Real Sociedad's midfield, making over 200 appearances and winning the Copa del Rey in 2019-20. With the Spanish national team, he made his debut in 2021 and was a key player in Spain's Euro 2024 triumph, coming on at halftime in the final against England in place of the injured Rodri and helping Spain win 2-1. In July 2025, he transferred to Arsenal for a fee close to 65 million pounds, continuing his career in the Premier League.
