Matheus Cunha is a versatile Brazilian striker born in Mendes, Rio de Janeiro, on June 27, 1999. Known for his technical ability, acceleration and ability to play in various offensive positions, Cunha stood out in European football while young and became one of the main names of the current generation of the Brazilian national team. Raised in the interior of Rio de Janeiro, Cunha started his career in Brazilian youth categories before venturing to Europe as a teenager. His time at FC Sion, Switzerland, served as a springboard for contracts with bigger clubs, where his quality became evident. Throughout his career, Cunha accumulated spells at RB Leipzig, Hertha Berlin and Atlético Madrid, where he gained experience in different leagues and playing styles.
