Nani

Nani

Nani is one of the greatest wingers in the history of Portuguese football, famous for his speed, bewildering dribbling skills and above-average technical ability. Born in Amadora, Portugal, of Cape Verdean origin, he was developed by Sporting CP before transferring to Manchester United in 2007, where he played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and became a key piece of Sir Alex Ferguson's squad. At Manchester United, Nani won four Premier League titles, the 2008 Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup and numerous other trophies, establishing himself as one of the best right wingers in the world in the late 2000s and early 2010s. His ability to drift from the left wing and cut in on the right side created confusion in opposing defenses. For the Portuguese national team, Nani was one of the most-used players of his generation, earning 112 caps and scoring 24 goals. He participated in three World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014) and multiple European Championships, playing a key role in Portugal's campaign in international competitions for over a decade. After his time at United, he played for Fenerbahçe, Valencia, Lazio, Sporting CP (returning three times), Orlando City and Melbourne City, ending a career full of titles and memorable moments. He is considered one of the greatest players in Sporting CP's history and a reference figure in Portuguese football.
