De Sordi foi o lateral-direito titular da Seleção Brasileira na Copa do Mundo de 1958 e um dos maiores laterais da história do São Paulo, clube onde passou praticamente toda a carreira.
De Sordi
Nílton Eduardo de Sordi was a Brazilian right-back, World Cup champion with the Brazilian National Team in 1958, in Sweden. Born in Piracicaba, in the interior of São Paulo, he stood out as a technical defender, secure in positioning and elegant in ball distribution. His career was almost entirely linked to São Paulo Futebol Clube, where he played for more than a decade and became one of the greatest full-backs in the club's history, winning titles in the São Paulo State Championship. At the 1958 World Cup, De Sordi was a starter at Brazil's right-back position and participated in the campaign that resulted in the team's first world title. An injury took him out of the final against Sweden, in which he was replaced. After his playing career ended, he remained a reference for the 1958 generation, remembered for his defensive restraint in a squad marked by names such as Pelé, Garrincha, Didi and Nílton Santos.
