Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud is the greatest goalscorer in French national team history, with 57 goals in 137 matches, surpassing the legendary Thierry Henry. Known for his aerial ability, his capacity to hold up the ball, and his finishing technique, the striker from Chambéry built a career full of titles and historic moments. After standing out at Montpellier, where he was French champion in 2011-12, he transferred to Arsenal in 2012. In six seasons at the Gunners, he won three FA Cups and became one of the most reliable strikers in the Premier League, despite often being underestimated by specialized critics. In the French national team, Giroud was a key player in France's World Cup victory in 2018 in Russia. In the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, even at 36 years old, he scored 4 goals and helped France reach the final, where they were defeated by Argentina on penalties. At AC Milan, he won the Italian Championship in 2022 after 11 years without a title for the club. He ended his career in 2024, being recognized as one of the greatest strikers of his generation.
