Oscar Ruggeri

Oscar Ruggeri was one of the most complete center-backs in the history of Argentine and world football. World Champion in 1986 alongside Diego Maradona, Ruggeri was a physically imposing defender with natural leadership and impressive aerial power, becoming a reference in his position during an entire generation. He built a successful career at the biggest clubs in Argentina, including Argentinos Juniors, River Plate, and Boca Juniors, as well as a stint at Real Madrid. He was one of the pillars of the Argentine national team that competed in three World Cups and reached two consecutive finals, in 1986 and 1990, becoming one of the most winning defenders in continental history.
