Ousmane Dembélé

Ousmane Dembélé

Ousmane Dembélé is one of the most technically gifted strikers in world football, capable of playing on both wings with outstanding ability using both feet. Born in Vernon, in Normandy, the Franco-Senegalese forward stands out for his explosive speed, unsettling dribbling, and precision in crosses and assists. His professional breakthrough came at Borussia Dortmund, where he arrived at just 19 years old from Rennes and dazzled the Bundesliga with his unique style of play. In 2017, he was signed by Barcelona for approximately 105 million euros in fixed fees (with 30M in bonuses), becoming one of the most expensive athletes in history. In Catalonia, a series of severe muscle injuries delayed his development, but when available he demonstrated world-class talent. From 2021-22 onwards, Dembélé overcame his physical problems and entered his prime: he was named La Liga's best player in 2022-23, playing a decisive role in Barcelona's title win. In 2023 he joined Paris Saint-Germain. For the French national team, he won the 2018 World Cup in Russia and reached the finals of the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2020, as well as winning the UEFA Nations League 2020-21. His ability with both feet — rare among elite forwards — and his capacity to create chances single-handedly make Dembélé one of the most feared and admired players of his generation.
