Patri Guijarro

Patri Guijarro is a Spanish midfielder, developed through the youth categories of RCD Mallorca before transferring to FC Barcelona, the club where she became one of the main defensive midfielders in women's football worldwide. She was one of the players known as 'Las 15', who in 2022 refused to be called up to the Spanish national team in protest against then coach Jorge Vilda, missing out on the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup victory. She returned to the national team in 2024, under new coaching. At Barcelona, she accumulated titles from the Women's Champions League and Liga F, being recognized as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, with nominations for the Ballon d'Or Féminin.
