Paul Scholes
Paul Scholes was born on November 16, 1974, in Salford, Greater Manchester, England. Considered one of the greatest midfielders in English football history, Scholes was the brain of Manchester United for more than two decades, notable for his exceptional game vision, precise passes, goal-scoring ability, and capacity to read the game like few others. He spent his entire professional career at Manchester United, a club to which he remained faithful from the youth categories until his definitive retirement. He was one of the members of the golden generation of young talents revealed by Sir Alex Ferguson in the 1990s, alongside David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and the Neville brothers. He won 11 Premier League titles and 2 UEFA Champions League titles with Manchester United. He retired in 2011 but returned to the club in 2012, definitively ending his career in 2013. He is revered by teammates, opponents and experts as one of the greatest midfielders that British football has ever produced.
